Planning your first Umrah can feel overwhelming, but with the right preparation it becomes a deeply rewarding journey. Start with your documentation: a valid passport with at least six months' validity, your Umrah visa (which we arrange for you), and proof of vaccination where required. Pack modestly and comfortably — for men, two pieces of white ihram cloth; for women, loose, modest clothing in any colour. Comfortable, easily removable footwear matters more than you'd think given how often you'll be walking barefoot. Physically, build up your walking stamina in the weeks before you travel, as the distances between the Haram, your hotel, and the rites themselves add up quickly. Spiritually, use the time before departure to read about the rites in sequence: Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i, and Halq or Taqsir. Our guided groups travel with an experienced group leader who walks you through each rite in real time, so you're never left unsure of the next step. Finally, keep your itinerary flexible in your mind — Haram crowds vary by time of day, and our consultants will advise on the best windows for a calmer, more reflective experience.
